Team Up to help Eddie Johnson fight liver cancer!

On September 25, 2021, Eddie Johnson went to the ER with severe back pain, only to find out he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver cancer. Since that day, Eddie has received four immunotherapy treatments at Spartanburg Regional Cancer Center. After Eddie’s last bone scan, his oncologist suggested that he receive a second opinion from a large academic hospital. Pam and the boys decided they wanted Eddie to go to the best place possible if they needed a second opinion.

They were blessed to be accepted at MD Anderson in Houston, TX and Eddie and Pam flew out to start this journey on March 14, 2022, for scans, tests and assessments. The doctors suggested a treatment regimen for Eddie that took them back to Houston on March 28, 2022, and Eddie started radiation treatments on Monday. He will be there for three weeks to receive treatment. Pam and Clint will split the three weeks to be with Eddie, as Robb (Halie) and Ben (Lexi) are busy with their newborns (born nine days apart in February). Eddie is so thankful that God allowed him to be a part of these precious babies being born and joining Robb and Halie’s daughter and son.

As a family friend for over 30 years, I wanted to allow Pam and Eddie’s friends and family to support them financially during Eddie’s journey for treatment. While they do have health insurance, they have to pay out of pocket for airline tickets, hotel lodging, and food while they are there.
