Recently, Avery was diagnosed with a rare form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, ALK+ Anaplastic Large T-Cell Lymphoma. Soon, she will undergo a 4-5 month Chemotherapy Infusion Treatment and Radiation Therapy to kick this cancer in its rear! Avery’s Mamaw has shown her to have faith, to be strong and FIGHT CANCER!
This family is already facing unexpected medical expenses in dealing with issues they never thought they would have to endure; such as fertility preservation. This will be an issue they will continue to endure even after Avery completes her treatments.
Avery is a very outgoing, athletic Senior in High School with a kind spirit to everyone she comes in contact with. She is an all around athlete that has excelled in High School Softball, Basketball and is part of the Fastpitch Futures Organization. Avery’s plan is to continue her education at Seminole State College where she will play softball. This goal/plan will be one that helps her FIGHT this battle so she can get back on the field.
