Team Up for Mike and his Kids!

I have known my friend, Mike Pustelnik for over 25 years.  I got to know Mike when we were involved in a church theatre program at St. Symphorosa. I was in junior high and he was probably in college. Over the next 25 years, Mike has been a great friend to me, someone who I always turn to for advice. We have stood up in each other's weddings and shared in many laughs around the poker table. We have also been there for each other in times of need. Mike is always someone to lend a helping hand for his friends.  Now, Mike needs our help...

For the last two years, Mike has been going through an ugly divorce. Then in December of last year, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. He has been going through chemotherapy treatments since January. With the Covid pandemic, he has not left the house. Those who know Mike, know that he is involved in every aspect of his three children's (Emily , Michael, and Daniel) lives. Mike has been a role model for his children, a coach, and their hero. Mike and his children need our support now to gain strength. They will need strength to get through this pandemic, beat the cancer, and in order to pay for the costly medical bills and the kids' needs. 

This past weekend, his co-workers at Morton High School organized a parade to show support for him. It lifted his spirits and he was touched beyond belief by this gesture. I know we all want to do more for him and his family. Mike will not let anyone help with grocery shopping or his financial needs. 

Please consider making any kind of donation that you can afford. Also, consider leaving a kind note of encouragement to Mike, or a note to his children telling them how much we care for Mike.  Feel free to tell his kids an embarrassing story or two.  Mike has never said no to helping his friends and family, so let's not say no to Mike. WE GOT THIS MIKE! WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
