To know Jake Cirbo, is to love him. He is a bright light in this world.
For those of you who don't personally know Jake, I'll give you a little background. He was born and raised in Cheyenne WY and has the absolute sweetest family, Mrs. Val, Mr. Dan, Anna(sister) and Lucas (brother). Jake has served in the 815th Tactical Air Lift Squadron, USAFR also known as the "Flying Jennies," since 2003. That's where he got his nickname, "Turbo." He's served our country on multiple deployments throughout his 17 years in the Air Force.
Also, if you know Jake, you also know JD Crockett. They met in Monroe, LA in 2001 and have been inseparable ever since. JD and Jake are both now real estate agents on the MS Gulf Coast, working for Powermark Properties. They reside in Biloxi, MS with their two spoiled dogs, "Baby" Bells and Iris.
In 2016, Jake had a very difficult year battling esophageal cancer. He underwent major surgery at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, in Zion, IL. All the while, JD was right by his side. The surgery was successful and he was considered to be in remission.
Fast forward to June 2020... Jake had a CT scan which showed one spot on his lung and one spot on his large intestine. He has decided to seek treatment and further advice at Utopia Wellness Center, in Oldsmar, FL. While ultimately the treatment is an ongoing, lifelong process, the length of the on-site program is expected to last 6-8 weeks and is not covered by insurance. Not one penny. They will be staying in their RV Camper, which they have yet to name, at a nearby campsite. Expected cost if approximately $5k/week. Right now, time is very critical. With both of them not able to work, every penny will help them on their journey to heal Jake's body. Jake is of very strong faith and we all pray for his complete and total healing.
If you can all please take some time out of your day to lift him up in prayer, it would be greatly appreciated
Jake is like a brother to me, as I have also known him since the night he and JD met. :) He's the sweetest, funniest person and I've honestly never once seen him mad. You will always see him with a big smile on his face! I always love hearing funny "Jake" stories, like the time he drove almost all the way to Vail, CO when his destination was actually North Platte, NE, or the time he discovered Ft Myers, FL is on the opposite side of the state than the airport in Tampa. We ALL have funny Jake stories.
Isaiah 40:31 "Those who trust in the Lord will find strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles."
Matthew 7:7 "“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
