Hi My name is Catrina but my friends call me Trina on June, 19 (Father's Day) I was riding ATV's with some friends before going back to their place for dinner. We were having a great afternoon and an amazing ride at a trail not far from home known as Slaughter House.

At one point I lost control of my ATV and got it up a embankment along the side of the trail, I panicked and did exactly what your not supposed to do. I hit the gas and break at the same time. Causing it to get airborne and land on top of me. Everything happened so fast but in slow motion at the same time.

Luckily I was with friends who were able to get it off me then one stayed with me while the other went to catch up with our other friend and get to a place with signal to call 911.

We are not sure how long I was unconscious.

But thankfully I came too somewhat quickly and the friend who stayed with me kept us both calm until help arrived.

First to arrive was a family in a jeep. The wife was a nurse and together they did everything right to remove my helmet and see where all the blood was coming from. Eventually my other friends came back and a bit later Platte Canyon EMT.

Now comes the next challenge.....How to get me out? I was in excruciating pain and my vitals were all over the place. Nowhere for helicopter to land and no drop basket available. Laying on the hard back board on a rig the emt's come in on was out of the question. So the jeep family brought me and one of the emt's out. Very Slowly! They brought us to the truck waiting at one of the trail heads then the truck to the ambulance that took me to Swedish hospital.

Until we were in the ambulance I had nothing for the pain at all. I have never been so happy to hear my vitals were starting to stabilize. Once at the hospital the trauma team discovered I had 11 broken ribs, a broken nose and a small skull fracture.

I spent my first 3 nights pretty out of it in the ICU then moved to the trauma unit for 4 more nights. I was finally released to come home which had its own challenges but with my friends and daughter and her boyfriend I am doing much better.

I still have several limitations and one is I am still unable to work. My finances are not very good and I have no income hence the go fund me. The bills don't stop when the money does. And the real icing on the cake is I must move by October 14.

I have an option available to me but it requires lots of work and again nothing is free.
