Team Tommy: Helping a First Grader Heal

Help Support Tommy’s Healing Journey & His Amazing Family

Our sweet friend Brianna is a hardworking single mom and small business owner whose world was turned upside down this week when her son, Tommy—a bright and joyful first grader at Aromas School—was unexpectedly hospitalized. He’s now returning home with a PICC line, blood thinners, and antibiotics—and a long road to recovery ahead.

Tommy has a blood clot in his right eye caused by a virus—something invisible from the outside, but deeply serious. Thankfully, he’s already showing signs of progress, and we continue to pray that these medications will support his healing.

This journey has deeply affected the entire family. Brianna doesn’t have paid sick leave—if she doesn’t work, she doesn’t get paid. Casey, Tommy’s dad, has also been by his side every step of the way. He works in construction and has had to pause work, putting his income on hold to be there for his son.

Behind the scenes, Brianna’s father, Robert, has been holding everything else together—caring for their younger son and keeping his 9-to-5 job going, so Brianna and Casey can focus completely on Tommy.
