UPDATE: Tommy was transferred to Schenectady yesterday where he will be in a specialized neuo rehab unit for the next 10-14 days. He has made a lot of gains physically - we are still hoping for some of his language skills to improve as well as his vision and memory. HUGE THANKS to everyone who has donated so far!

The family of Tom Martinos (Tommy , Uncle Tom) is requesting your help to cover medical costs and home modification costs in support of Tommy.

On July 23rd - Tommy went in to have a tumor in his neck removed with a planned two day stay. While the surgery went well, shortly after while still in the recovery room, Tommy had a major stroke. He was initially paralyzed on his right side and is dealing with significant cognitive impairments. He has also incurred the medical costs of back to back surgical procedures, a lengthy hospital stay, and the need for extensive rehabilitation.

We also anticipate the need for home modifications to meet his needs and allow him to return home safely to his fiancée and dog (he proposed only 2 days before the surgery).

We ask that you consider donating, no amount is too small. We would also like all of Tommy’s supporters to know that Blues on the Bridge will go on this year as his family is taking the reins to make this event happen in his honor.
