We are starting this gofundme on behalf of M.J. Underwood. This fundraiser will help cover monthly costs while she is out of work due to heart failure. M.J. was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in January due to chemotherapy she had for breast cancer seven years ago. MJ is a mother, sister, aunt, friend, and to some, the most sincere person they know. M.J. is having surgery tomorrow to have a left ventricular assist device placed, she will keep this until she can have a heart transplant. Please keep M.J. and Jaylee in your prayers.

Here are a few words from M.J.:

Today, I ask for prayers. Many of you know, but some of you may not. I was sick most of December, not feeling well. I couldn't catch my breath, running out of breath quickly. I finally went to Express E.R., thinking I had a heart attack. Luckily, that wasn't the case. However, after several doctor visits and meds, I ended up in the hospital on January 3, 2023. I was there for five days when I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. I was sent home with a bunch of meds and felt good. Life was returning to normal until January 26, when I had a follow-up appointment with my cardiologist. She noticed my fingers were blue, like a smurf, and I was immediately admitted. She was my saving grace. I'm still in the hospital because now I need a new HEART. ❤️ My faith in God is vital, so there are no plans for me to give up. You see, I have a beautiful 13-year-old that needs me. So I will fight with all my being to be here to watch her grow up. So if you have made it this far, I ask for prayers. ❤️, prayers for my family that worry about what's going happening to me, especially my daughter Jaylee ❤️

Jaylee has already lost one parent; let's not make it two.

It's overwhelming, and I'm still shocked because I feel really good.

A friend came to see me today and said your Scripture today is Isaiah 41:10:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Amen.

My faith is very strong, so this is what keeps me going, I beat breast cancer, and I will beat this too.
