Team Tim - Motorcycle Accident - August 2023

Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am helping the family of Tim Lyon raise money due to a motorcycle accident that occurred in Paris, Texas on August 19th. Tim is a humble man who would not ask for help, but who would provide you help if you needed it. He is a veteran, and a very active man who loves motorcycles, hunting, fishing, kayaking, nature, and most of all his wife Kelly, dog Tango and family and friends. He has been self-employed most of his life. Working as a stone mason to help many families and businesses in Lamar and Red River counties in Texas do brick/stonework and repairs. His skills as a mason are well known. He is the "rock" in his family. Many depend on Tim for so many things.

His injuries are serious. He received multiple fractures in his back, tore all the ligaments in his right arm, suffered a compound fracture to his left leg, has a small brain bleed, fractured his eye socket and received facial fractures. In the last 9 days he has had 3 major surgeries - Three rods were placed in his back, multiple pins and rods in his right arm, multiple pins and rods in his left leg. He is still on a ventilator but is breathing more on his own each day. He has a trachea tube and is being fed through a peg tube. He currently can respond by opening his eyes and turns his head. He can follow some commands. He is aware.

Raising this money is important to the care of Tim and his family. The family does not live close to the hospital and is trying to stay close by so they can monitor care and provide support. They are not the kind of people who ever ask for anything. They all have worked hard to have what they have. But the cost to be close by is already taking a toll. Tim was the main bread winner in his family. There is no big Savings account to save the day. This money will be used to pay family bills, medical bills, the cost of daily living and monthly bills for his wife Kelly and dog Tango. It will also help to ensure Tim can maintain deductibles and receive rehabilitation. Tim is more valuable to us than money, and his road back to being whole is our main goal. Honestly, we do not know how much this will all cost... and I am sure we are not asking for enough, but all of it helps. Thank you in advance for what you can provide.
