Team SXSE: Southbound 400
Donation protected
This May 11, the inaugural Southbound 400 race will take place hosted by Members of MOTIV Outdoors. This is a 400 mile running relay from the Canadian border to the southern tip of Manhattan. Our team, named South-by-Southeast will be taking on this challenge to win the race.
We are fully prepared to pay for the experience ourselves but we are reaching out to the supportive running community to see if they can also help us on our journey.
Who are you donating to?
Our team is comprised of individuals who have used the sport of running to foster community and help grow the sport of running in the NYC community and worldwide. We hope that in this 400 mile relay, that we show that unique challenges like this are achievable and provide a playbook for future teams to help them in similar efforts like The Speed Project.

What will the costs cover:
Our race is taking place in three stages over three days and is a point-to-point race. As a result, the majority of the costs are related to transportation and food.
- Vehicle Expenses: We will need to rent two vans and will need fuel
- Fuel for the runners: Each runner will need to make sure they are fueled for this race.
- Food: Each day we will need to cover food costs for 11 people
- Outdoor Gear Rental: We are going to be sleeping in campgrounds, this means we will need to rent tents and outdoor gear for 11 people as well.
We thank you just for visiting our page, if you donate we thank you even more for helping us on our journey. We are an open book, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out: [email redacted].
