In support of the Indigenous Life Sport Academy
We are selling candles by donation here, minimum $25
Rachel and Joanne are competing in the Rebelle Rally in October 2023 and are looking for any donations to help us with our cause.
We compete to grow and empower women in the sport of off-roading, we will carry forward our experience to mentor new and Indigenous teams next year. We rally in support of Indigenous Life Sport Academy, where Rachel has been mentoring Indigenous Women through sport for many years. All rally winnings will go directly to ILSA, as well as a percentage of all funds donated or raised for the team.

"By providing Indigenous youth with unstructured and semi-structured sports alike, the Indigenous Life Sport Academy (ILSA) creates social change and development within Indigenous communities. ILSA provides Indigenous youth with opportunities to play, express themselves, improve both their mental and physical health, as well as learn skills such as snowboarding, skateboarding, biking, climbing, hiking, and golf that can benefit them long into their adult years. These healthy sport-based outlets assist in the relief of conscious and subconscious stresses induced by intergenerational trauma within indigenous communities."

We have made hand made team candles which we will send to anyone who has helped us with a donation. We sleep at base camp each night during the rally but there will be a night on our own out in the desert. We will be gifting each team competing with one of our candles so that the united burning will still keep us connected in spirit and provide light to each other and the universe. We will be posting the date of this night just prior to the start of the race so that you can join us in burning your candle with us from wherever you are in the world. It is not a race for speed, but a unique and demanding event based on the elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time, and distance using maps, compass, and roadbook. No GPS. No cellphone.
