Team Shane - AML MDS Leukemia Fighter

I know I haven’t put a lot on FB about everything that’s been going on with Shane. Mostly because I’ve been in a little bit of a whirlwind sorting things out. So here it is, this is where we are at as of now.

First, I just want to thank my son for fighting so hard. For being the strong, big hearted man he has grown to be. For being an amazing father, provider for his family, friend and son. His first thoughts were not of himself, but worried about his fiancé and kiddos. Asking his siblings to promise to always look after them and treat them as their own if he didn’t make it. He worried about not being there to protect them.

These words can bring a mother to her knees. To know your son may only have months to live. So he wrapped his head around the drs words about what he needed to do and he made a decision.

He wasn’t having that! We weren’t having that! We are fighters and we don’t give up! We get up and we fight through the storm to find the light.

So with love, support, and courage, topped off with a lot of PRAYERS!! Cancer has no place in my babies life!

Shane’s daughter wrote this in his card :

To dad: Cancer started the fight but you will end it!

I want to thank my kids for not hesitating to step up and go above and beyond. I’m one proud mama!! ❤️!!! I couldn’t be prouder!! ♥️!!!! Love you kids so much!!

I want to thank my family and Ambers family for giving him and Amber the support so he can keep fighting.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words , thoughts and prayers. !!! Priceless.

We have a while to go with all the treatments and tests. It’s part of the storm we know this. But mom’s home now and cancer doesn’t have a chance! ;;)) This is not the end of his story!
