I’m 32 year old and in need of a liver. I have been seeing doctors continually since November 2017 at
U of L Hospital and was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, the reasoning is unknown, however it is not alcohol related. Since February of 2020 I have been on medical leave from work and unable to do what I truly love doing, helping others. I finally swallowed my pride and realized I needed to focus on my own health, rather than just grinding though and touching it out until I made it home. Through all of these health obstacles, I haven’t been able to work, travel like I want to, see friends consistently and have missed out on so much over the past two years. I am currently on Cobra health insurance that is over $600 a month to maintain insurance until my Medicare kicks in for me in June 2022; since they approved my transplant. I want to thank everyone for your much needed support, concern and prayers. I love you all.
This is Seans Mom and during Sean’s illness it is the first time our family has needed a team to help our son. It is hard to watch your son who should be living life to the fullest not have the strength and energy to do the things he loves. There are days he does not feel like doing more than lying on the couch and resting. He loves to coach, cook gourmet meals and work with the public. I am so proud to tell others Sean is my son as he is a great young man who has such a love for God and his friends and family. Sean continues to be in need of a liver however his meld scores continue to fluctuate and they must be at a 30 or higher to get a liver offer. He is on social security disability and does not qualify for SSI or Medicaid. Through Gods blessing Sean is seeing the best liver specialists in Louisville. It is good to finally know what made him sick off and on for the past 5 years. He has had two tips done with success on the last which has helped him to not retain fluid around his lungs and in his abdomen. We want to thank all members of Team Sean Jeremiah for their support, concern and prayers. Our family loves you all.
