Today I am calling all family, friends, strangers, or anyone who has been touched by cancer.
One of my most beloved friends in this world has discovered that her cancer has returned and has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Sara is 35 and is the mother of five children. She is also the wife of a police officer who has devoted his life to protecting and supporting American families.
My plea to you is to help support and protect their family in this difficult time. I am asking people to sponsor me as I plan to shave my head along with Sara when the time comes. This will be done when Sara is ready and will be videotaped and uploaded on FB. She is starting Chemo within the next week and will begin losing her hair in about two weeks. Sara has expressed that it is empowering for her to shave her hair herself before cancer takes it. This is the hardest part for her children to watch. I am taking this step with her for support, so her children can see that their mother is still like every other mother!
She can hopefully begin traveling for alternative methods of treatment as soon as her financial situation allows, and the sooner the better. Sara's ultimate goal is to beat this and not be limited by the expenses of traveling so she can receive the most cutting-edge treatment.
