Hello, friends, family and colleagues!
We're back at it again in 2021!
The 2020 rally was incredible -- we learned a ton and got a great feel for how the Bronco (now 52 years old!) can handle the rigors of off-roading. We have adjustments and upgrades to make, and more training to pursue. And you can help! Every donation helps us out with training, travel, and fuel costs, and we appreciate every penny.
Why are we doing this...again?
Emily Miller, the founder of the Rebelle Rally (and a winning, incredible rally driver herself) says the first year, you learn how to rally; the second year, you learn how to compete; and the third year, you learn how to win. This year is all about redemption for us -- 2020's rally was essentially the shakedown we wish we'd gotten on the trails well in advance of competing, but, well.... 2020. We spent a lot of time sidelined with mechanical issues, having to skip checkpoints and skip routes we weren't sure the Bronco was ready for. But not this year! We plan on COMPETING this year. The beauty of the Rebelle, though, is that competition doesn't preclude camaraderie. We forged deep bonds with so many women who we miss and love and can't wait to compete alongside again. It's a really special group of people who come together at the Rebelle. Finally, the tech detox is AMAZING; waking up each day knowing "all" you have to do is get from CP to CP? No errands, no work, no news, no parenting, no obligations, no chores...it's refreshing as hell. :)
How can you help?
We plan on going after some serious corporate financial backing this year, but there's no guarantee we'll find the right partner -- so any and all help we get from friends and family is appreciated. We won't have the insane expenses that we did last year, outfitting ourselves from scratch, but we still have registration costs, Bronco improvements, gear replacement, and training, travel, and fuel to pay for. Any amount helps!
Thank you so much for your consideration, and for all of the encouragement and support and high-fives we've gotten so far. It means a lot to us. We're so excited to do this again, and we hope you're excited, too.
