Rhett Michael Barrett, an incredibly active 6 year old boy, who is now fighting leukemia.  The last thing any parent would ever imagine for their child, help support the family and give them one less thing to worry about than the medical bills.

Yesterday. Yesterday my beautiful 6yr old boy went on a field trip with his first grade class. He came home and played football outside with his best friends ...until it was dark. He went inside and played football with his daddy and brother until we made him go to bed. Typical day.
This is today. Today he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, ALL. Today has been a day of blood tests, IVs, and trying to manage his pain with Tylenol, oxycodone and morphine. Today I've been sat down in a conference room and heard words like cancer, chemotherapy, port, bone marrow, spinal tap, homebound, chemotherapy, cancer, chemo...well you get it. Today was the worst day of my life.
I want to take his place so bad it hurts. It should be me. But I do nothing but watch. I do know that I have a God that's bigger than this. That will fight this battle with us and I believe with everything in me that Rhett will be OK. But God. It sucks.
