Hope for Rachael: Liver Transplant and Donor Care Fund

Update: We have incredible news to share — the kind we’ve been praying for, fighting for, and clinging to hope for.

Late Friday night, the insurance denial was miraculously overturned. Completely reversed. We received the official determination letter in hand — solid proof that the surgery is approved. And even more amazing… we have a donor match. What once felt impossible is now moving forward in a way only God could orchestrate. 

We can’t thank you enough for praying, supporting, and standing with us through every setback and every piece of red tape. Please don’t stop — we still need prayer as we move into the next phase.

Next step: scheduling the surgery.

And once that date is set… we will be celebrating the greatest Christmas gift we could have imagined (second only to Jesus ).

God is so good. Even in the waiting. Even in the fighting. Especially in the breakthrough.

To help ease this burden, our family is fundraising with a goal of $20,000. These funds will go directly toward transplant-related costs for both Rachael and her donor. If donations exceed what’s needed for the transplant, any additional funds will help support their family in the years ahead as Rachael focuses on recovery and long-term wellness. We've been told recovery could take 6 months to 2 years.

Rachael was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in September 2023. After months of chemotherapy and two surgeries, she enjoyed a brief time of remission. January 7th, Rachael lost her job and then on the 19th, found out that her cancer had returned.
