On June 18th, my niece, Phoebe Luciano was driving in her car with her friend after a final exam. Shortly thereafter the two were involved in a head–on collision with a transit bus. Both Phoebe and the driver sustained many traumatic injuries. Fortunately, luck was with Phoebe that day as an off duty EMT saw the accident, pulled over, and immediately started working on Phoebe. Thanks to this volunteer EMT, Phoebe made it to Valhalla Children’s Hospital in Westchester.
Her injuries are substantial and she has a long recovery in front of her, but is blessed with an amazing team of doctors and nurses who are providing her with excellent care. This is only the beginning of the long road that lies in front of her and her family.
Phoebe is a shining star. She is smart, strong and a beautiful person inside and out who is looking forward to her senior year in high school, college and beyond. Her family will have many unexpected expenses over the next several months of her recovery. In the spirit of her hero, the EMT worker who rolled up his sleeves and helped someone in need, please consider donating to Phoebe’s cause.
We are all on team Phoebe and hope that you will be a part of her success.
Thank you for your contribution.
With love,
Phoebe’s Family
