Good day!  Thank you for viewing our page.  We are here to raise money for my uncle, Ken Pearson.  Ken was diagnosed two years ago with Prostate Cancer.  For the last two years he has done everything holistically he could to keep the cancer at bay, but as of his last scans, the cancer is growing and it is time to decide on a course of treatment.  My aunt and uncle have done extensive research on ALL options available for prostate cancer.  In the end, they have decided to pursue a treatment option that is relatively new to the medical field.  This treatment is called HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) which is an FDA approved, minimally invasive procedure that offers personalized treatment and dramatically reduced side effects.

Ken and his wife, Donna have spoken to Dr. Cordell Nwokeji in Kingwood, TX who has been instrumental in them finding this treatment and easing their concerns regarding such a new option.  He has told them all about the procedure, which is a same-day, outpatient procedure.  It is non-invasive, is radiation free and is personalized to each individual patient for a more targeted treatment.  They will have to travel to Texas to have this procedure done with this doctor who they feel very fortunate to have had contact with.

This procedure is unfortunately very costly and at this time, Ken and Donna's health insurance will not cover this procedure.  That is where you come in, dear reader.  We are asking for donations to help us raise the money so that my uncle can receive this treatment.  Ken is someone who gives back regularly to his community by helping out at his church (NLC Cabot) and he and Donna lead a Divorce Care class at their church.  They are constantly doing for others and because of this I am hoping others will reach out and help them in this endeavor of raising the money for this treatment.  We hope that you will consider making a donation so he can get the treatment he needs.
