Team MV Adventure Bahamas Relief

On August 24, 2019 Hurricane Dorian devastated the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas.

On September 14th 2019 a group of Friends from Cape Coral, FL - Captain Brad, Lorraine, and Kahlil, along with 3 Members of United Aid Foundation (NYC) departed a Marina in West Palm beach on a 55' Vessel "Adventure" owned by Brad and Lorraine to Green Turtle Cay (it took us about 20 Hours at 7kts/hr, Our Mission? To get people fed with hot meals that we make via a make shift Kitchen on the Island. For the prior 4 Days we worked effortlessly to purchase and load as much Food, Appliances, and Supplies as we possibly can on the Vessel.

We are happy to report that Our Mission has been welcomed by the Local Community and has been a success so far. In fact we have even been endorsed by Chef Jose Andres of World Central Kitchen

We are asking you to help us with some funding, we would like to aggressively reach our goal with just over a handful of individuals like yourself.

We are and will continue to help and make an impact to as much people as we possibly can, Like I mentioned before our Mission is a success, it is self sustaining and to date we have served approximately 30,000 Individual meals, we have also hired local staff to run the kitchen and our team  is now in a Supply, Logistical and Managing position. Our next goal now that we are exiting our triage mode is to work with and assist Local Restaurants and Bakeries to get up and running, essentially any Facility that can provide people with hot, healthy food.

(10/22/19) we made a decision to take another one of our boats over to the island, as this will help us a-lot with logistics (we have to go to another island for Propane and we are starting to feed people on other islands as well) On October 27th, Brad and Myself will leave Cape Coral  to cross the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas on Brad's 25' Seahunt Center Console.

What's needed? Since there still isn't running water or electricity, here are some things that we will use your funding for:

- Generators
- Fuel (Gasoline, Diesel and Propane)
- Food Supplies (Bread, Meat, Produce)
- Local Staff Payroll
- Tents
- Refrigerators, Ovens, Freezers
- Logistical Expenses (Shipping Pallets and Containers from Port of  Palm Beach, FL)
- Electrical and Construction Supplies
- Stainless Steel Prep Tables
- Misc. Kitchen Tools/Equipment

There is so much more little things that add up.

I encourage you to visit our facebook page to see what we have been doing - https://www.facebook.com/teammvadventure

I also encourage you to reach out to me directly on my cell at [phone redacted] (Kahlil) for a conversation and Q and A. There is only so much information that I can type here :) and so much more to give, I'd love for the opportunity to answer your questions on a one to one basis.

Please also know that we are merely a group of friends helping people in need, we are not a 501(c)(3) and any financial gifts are not Tax Deductible.

Thank you so much for considering our request - Team M/V Adventure.
