If you know Mike, you know one thing for certain:

He is always the first person to help.

Whether it's stopping to help a stranger whose car is stuck, carrying someone's heavy shopping bags, helping a parent with a stroller, or quietly lending a hand without ever expecting anything in return—Mike simply sees someone who needs help, and he acts.

That is who he is.

Mike is an incredible husband, a devoted father to our two beautiful daughters, a loving son and brother, and the kind of friend everyone hopes to have in their lives. He has spent his life putting others first.

As a teacher, he has inspired hundreds of students over the years. His patience, kindness, and genuine care have made him far more than just an educator. Former students still reach out to tell him how much he changed their lives. He believes every child deserves encouragement, and he has dedicated his career to giving exactly that.

Even outside of work, Mike gives his time freely. He volunteers to run our housing community association, helping neighbors and solving problems simply because he wants to make our community a better place. If something needs doing, Mike is usually the first to raise his hand.

Today, for the first time in his life, Mike is the one who needs help.

Mike has been diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer, and over the past months he has faced every challenge with extraordinary courage. He has undergone multiple rounds of intensive chemotherapy, enduring difficult treatments while continuing to be the loving husband, father, teacher, and friend we all know.

Unfortunately, despite the best available standard treatments, his cancer has continued to progress.

We are now pursuing an innovative, personalized immunotherapy that has been specifically designed using Mike's own tumor biology. This treatment is not covered by insurance and requires significant travel, specialized laboratory work, and medical care.

We know there are no guarantees.

But there is hope.

Hope that this treatment can slow the disease.

Hope that it can give Mike more time.

Hope that our daughters can have more years with the father who reads them bedtime stories, cheers them on during their practice, and shows them what unconditional love feels like every single day.
