Team Mike Lewis

Mike was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer in March of 2020. When he met with his Oncologist in May, he was also diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. This has been a complete shock to their family and as one can imagine, the medical bills have started to become overwhelming. Mike had surgery on April 10, 2020 to have part of his colon removed. After surgery, there were some complications in which a drain tube had to be placed for five weeks. Chemo infusion could not start until the drain tube was removed. After the five weeks, he was able to begin chemo treatments at Levine's in Pineville with his Oncologist, Dr. Pal. Several friends have planned a benefit/fundraiser on November 7th. BBQ Plates are $10.00 each, YETI tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20.00 however there are several people who have expressed interest in donating but will not be able to make it to the benefit. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, several people asked about a Go Fund Me page....So, here it is. Please do not feel obligated to donate at all, but please say a prayer for this family. Mike just finished his 9th of twelve chemo treatments and then will have another colonoscopy and will start having scans every three months for preventative maintenance and to make sure the chemo is working. Right now, the chemo he is taking is for the Colon Cancer. Once this chemo is finished, another scan will be completed to check for the Lymphoma and that will determine whether chemo needs to be given for the Lymphoma as well.
