Team Meaghan Simpson Bower Brain Surgery

I honestly never thought I would be the one telling this story... Human nature often allows us to blissfully think "it wouldn't happen to us"... Well, these past few weeks have shown us how quickly our lives can change and how fragile we really are.  As Christians, we know the Lord is, indeed, in control. As humans...well, that's a daily challenge to accept what lies before us. 
Our Daughter, Meaghan, was born to us in 1986. She has grown to be a strong, courageous and independent young woman who is an exceptional mother of 2 (Elijah~7 and Josie~4) and the wife of an amazing young man, Scott Bower.  Meaghan has suffered from migraines since she was a child; however, about a year ago these migraines became more frequent and intense. With insistence from her husband, Scott, she made an appointment for an MRI.  Several tests later, she has been diagnosed with a very rare Cyst/Tumor that is "complex in nature and large" (16mm) . It is located in the very center/deepest area of the brain and in, or near, the Pineal Gland. The Cyst/Tumor is pressing on other areas of the brain critical to eye control and other functions such as sleep regulation and short-term memory.  A very delicate and complicated Brain Surgery is scheduled for July 12, 2021.  She will be at MUSC in downtown Charleston, SC.  She will be in ICU for a couple of days and then home as soon as possible to heal.  Possible complications are many, but we are at peace that the Lord will take care of all those issues and have placed our fears into His hands.

"How can we help Meaghan's family?"  "What do they need"?   Well...
We know that the full recovery will be quite long, but the immediate need will be for about 3-4 months. As with many families, both of their incomes are critical to meet their financial obligations.  And now, these financial demands include their insurance deductibles and co-pays required for the extensive surgery, medicines, therapy, general home expenses, etc.  It's all quite...overwhelming to be sure...
