On November 9, 2016, Macy Todd's mother made this post on Facebook: Where to begin...as a mother, your worst fear is something happening to your child. In the last 24 hours our world as we know it has been turned upside down. My Macy has been diagnosed with B-cell ALL (leukemia). It has been a whirlwind of information, paperwork, procedures, and plans. We begin induction today...and our journey to beat cancer begins. Thank you to the enormous and overwhelming outpouring of love, support, care, concern, and prayers. We are in the best possible place with the best specialists and caregivers imaginable. St. Jude has welcomed us with open arms, endless faith, and optimism.
As a community, I ask you to come together to help this family. Kim devotes her life to serving others as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. She is a single mother to two amazing girls, Mia 14 and Macy 10. We want to help lighten her load as she puts her focus on the long journey ahead of Macy beating cancer.
