Steven Looney, for those of you who don't personally know him, is a loving husband and father of 3 young girls.  He is that guy, the guy who is there for you whenever you call and need some help, the guy who is always there for his family and friends, the guy who never asks for help, the guy who does those little things that most people don't even notice but wonder why there day just got better, the guy who is always able to bring a smile to your face with some witty sarcastic comment. He is also a Firefighter/Paramedic for the Los Angeles Fire Department,  a Realtor, and a property manager. He has spent the last 14 years dedicating his life to the public which he so selflessly serves and protects, but now he needs some help, prayers, and support from anyone who is willing and able.  Early on the morning of October 16th Steve, and his good friend, were out hunting just outside of Wallace Idaho, about 45 minutes from home, when a horrible chain of events caused them to crash their quad. Thankfully Steves friend was able to run for help and initiate Steves rescue.  Steve suffered a traumatic brain injury and multiple skull/facial fractures.  He was airlifted to Kootenai hospital and had successful  brain and cranial reconstruction surgery. For the first week, Steve was in a coma and at the start of the second week started to show some signs of his brain injury starting to heal.  Steve and his family are at the beginning of a long road to recovery. Thankfully they are surrounded by loving family and friends, who are helping Jillian and the girls cope with all the changes to their lives.  Steve and his family will be temporarily relocating  to the Craig Institute in Denver, Colorado where he will be receiving  very strenuous  brain injury rehabilitation for approximately 3 months.  This facility is the premier traumatic brain injury rehab in the country, but along with that title comes many extra costs, a lot of which are not covered by insurance. This is where you all come in! There network of family and friends are taking care of all the day to day chores/responsibilities here at home, but  it would help the family out so much and allow them to concentrate all of their time on Steves recovery if they didn't have to worry about incurring a potentially high amount of expenses throughout his road to recovery.
