Our gorgeous nephew Lockie is just 9 years old, our fun-loving, sports obsessed little “Lockstar” who truly lives and breathes sports .

If you know Lockie, you know there’s rarely a moment he’s standing still. Basketball, football, soccer, futsal if there’s a ball involved, he’s already there, shoes on and ready to go. He plays with heart, determination and that big cheeky smile we all adore. He’s the kind of kid who gives 110% on the court or field and still has enough energy left to make everyone laugh afterwards.

He is not just an incredible little athlete he’s the sweetest, most caring boy with the biggest heart. He’s an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and mate. He brings so much to everyone who has the pleasure to know him.

Recently, our family’s world was turned completely upside down when Lockie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Instead of training sessions, game days and running around with his friends, Lockie is now facing hospital appointments, treatments and challenges no nine year old should ever have to endure. He will need to travel to Melbourne for treatment and specialist care, which adds even more emotional and financial strain during an already overwhelming time.

Yet through it all, he continues to show a strength and bravery beyond his years. Even on the toughest days, he’s still our Lockstar with that smile, cracking jokes and showing us what true courage looks like.

Right now, what matters most is that his mum and dad can be right there beside him every single step of the way through hospital stays, treatments, trips to Melbourne, hard days and hopeful ones too. Being there for Lockie means time away from work, travel expenses and financial pressure that no family should have to carry while their child is fighting such a huge battle.

We are raising funds to help ease that burden, so his mum, dad and siblings can focus on what truly matters, loving, supporting and standing strong beside their brave boy.
