Lizzie is a beautiful 8 year old girl who was born with PURA and has recently been in the PICU in Oklahoma City for complications of PURA. Her entire stay is expected to be around a month and will be quite costly.
PURA syndrome is a recently discovered condition. The PURA gene is on chromosome 5. It has a number of different roles, but is known to be particularly important in brain development.
While we cannot help the mental and physical toll this is taking on her family, together we can pull together and help alleviate the financial strain.
