Team Liam - medical

Liam Bossert is the 4 yr old son of Joshua and Casey Bossert. He is also the grandson of Stacey and Brad Bossert and Gary and Paula Chapman.

Liam was diagnosed with epilepsy in October 2021. He has since received a more specific. Diagnosis of KCNT-1 , a rare gene mutation that is responsible for his seizures. KCNT -1 is an ultra rare disorder that affects approximately 20 people per 1 million. Worldwide , there are approximately 3,000 diagnosed cases.

since his diagnosis, Liam has made several trips to Mott’s children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. His last trip was by air ambulance from UPHS Marquette due to the severity of his seizures. He is currently taking 5 medication two times daily.

a specialist, who deals exclusively with KCNT1, has been recommended by his M.D. at Mott’s Children's Hospital. However, he is located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

we are setting up the Go fund me page to help with expenses. As Joshua finishes his senior year at NMU, and Casey has used all of her available sick time from work, help is needed as medical expenses as well as travel expenses ect begin to mount.
