Leighton Cole Turnowicz.  

March 2021 completely flipped this little  mans world upside down. A mass was found on his right kidney. After further investigation into the mass, the doctors at Rady Children’s Hospital  decided it was best to remove the mass. The mass was found to be 13 cm and engulfing the right kidney and not allowing any function of that kidney; both the tumor and kidney were removed. The tumor was biopsied and found to be Stage Two Clear Cell Sarcoma, a rare form of Kidney cancer. Leighton will be starting radiation and chemo treatments in the coming weeks. This process can take 6-9 months to complete. Radiation mapping starts this week and on April 1st Leighton will have his port put into place. Every third week for the next nine months Leighton will be in the hospital. 

Leighton is about to start a journey where he is going to need all the support, positive vibes, good juju,and prayers you can put into the world!

Sandi and Turtle are so grateful for all of the outpouring of love and support that has already been given!
