Two weeks ago, our world changed forever.
Our beautiful 11-year-old niece, Kyleigh McCarron, a bright, kind sixth-grader with a heart of gold, was suddenly diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumor called H3K27-altered Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), a form of pediatric brain cancer that is inoperable and extremely difficult to treat.
What began as headaches and weakness quickly turned into a terrifying diagnosis no child and no family should ever have to face.
Kyleigh is currently hospitalized, undergoing six weeks of daily radiation, the only standard treatment available for this type of tumor. But her parents, David and Vicky, along with her medical team, are exploring every possible path forward, including targeted and experimental therapies that offer new hope. These emerging treatments have shown promise in rare cases, and we believe with all our hearts that Kyleigh could be one of those miracles.
This campaign was created to help ease the immense financial burden that comes with fighting for a child’s life, from medical care and travel expenses, to lodging near the hospital and potential experimental treatments that insurance won’t cover. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps David and Vicky stay by her side, helps Kyleigh access the care she needs, and helps us all hold onto hope.
Kyleigh is so much more than her diagnosis. She’s a bright, creative spirit who has always filled every room with laughter, song, and joy. She loves to dance, to sing from her heart, and to make everyone around her feel seen and loved. Right now, she’s facing the biggest challenge of her young life, a journey that has quieted her energy but not her spirit. Her strength and courage continue to move everyone who knows her, and we believe that same beautiful light that shines through her smile will guide her through this fight.
We are asking for prayers, love, and support as we walk beside her through this unimaginable journey. Please consider donating, sharing her story, and believing with us that miracles still happen because Kyleigh, and her parents, deserve one.
