Hello, Go Fund Me world. This is something I never thought I would have to do and wish I didn’t, but here goes. My name is Joseph. On Dec 4th, my wife and I welcomed our 3rd beautiful daughter Kinsley Anne into this world.  Unfortunately, Kinsley was born with what is called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH).   CDH is a birth defect where her diaphragm didn’t form properly so her bowel and liver were in her chest which prevented normal development of her heart and lungs.  CDH is very serious and potentially fatal. Fortunately for Kinsley and our family the hole was smaller than expected, and her surgeon repaired it just 2 days after her birth. She is still at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and will be there until she gets to come home.  Hopefully sooner than later. Regrettably, we did not find out about her condition until 36 weeks of pregnancy.  Therefore, we had no time to prepare emotionally let alone financially. This is where this wonderful Go Fund Me community comes in. While mommy can stay close to the hospital, I must make the 2.5 hr. one-way drive at least twice a week to see my daughter and her momma, while still working my full-time job plus anything else I can find. I'm setting this account up to help us with basic financial help. Specifically, we need help with rent, utilities, gas and food. Among the many things I have learned from all of this is how to ask for and accept help from people. I’m very humbled. I am eternally grateful for everyone's help along the way including the strangers I've met that have given so many prayers and positive energy to my family and newborn daughter. I truly wish I didn’t have to take this route but need any financial assistance that can be given.  My family will be more appreciative than we can ever show.
