Kathryn was experiencing debilitating back pain and bouts of vomiting for at least 6 weeks. After numerous trips to her doctor, her symptoms got progressively worse until her family took her to the ER at Garnet Health - Middletown on Friday 10/29/2021. After multiple tests and painful biopsies, Kathryn was diagnosed with Metastatic Adenocarcinoma of her Esophagus on 11/02/2021. The cancer has spread to her back, upper chest and spleen. She will begin chemotherapy on 11/05/2021 at Garnet Health - Middletown, and her family is working to get her admitted to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC.

 

As you may know, Kathryn's mom - Mary Magnetico - is the owner and operator of Chestnut Creek Baked Goods in Port Jervis, NY. The bakery operations have come to a halt for now given this unfathomable news. Kathryn's immediate support system is her mom, girlfriend, brother, sister and brother-in-law. Kathryn was about to start orientation for a new job but now she is unable to work. She dreams of getting her Bachelors Degree in Business and wants to work in the cannabis industry.

 

Kathryn has every intention on fighting this cancer so she can take on the world and life her best life.

Overall medical, food and transportation costs are unknown at this time. Your support will assist Kathryn & her family with immediate expenses as well as the impending medical bills. This fundraiser is set up for all donations to be sent directly to Kathryn's mom, Mary, on behalf of Kathryn.
