This is my dear friend Kala Rios, and her husband Ricky. On February 5th she received the news no one wants to hear "You have cancer"! They had discovered that she had Transverse Colon Cancer.  The following day, during a CAT scan they discovered  a spot on her liver.   Fast forward to February 15 she had surgery and they removed a ping pong size blooding tumor and later discovered to be Stage 3. Concerned about the spot on her liver, her doctor ordered a biopsy to determine whether or not she is actual Stage 3 or Stage 4.  Wanting to do a second opinion has proven to be a fight within itself, due to insurance limitations, it's a long story and not really relevant to our fund. But she is going to go to MD Anderson, to which her insurance will not pay for the second opinion or treatment. In an attempt to help out our friend, we are asking for donations for her trip to Houston to get the second opinion and to help her with expenses.
