Say hello to the most inspiring, courageous and hard working family I know, The Waldrons.
Late last year, Dylan and Mels 7
year old boy Jett, was diagnosed with a childhood form of cancer as a result of a tumor in his eye. The good news is it's being treated with a 90% success rate and they are blessed with a positive attitude and an adrenaline that seems to filter through to all of us.
As they live 3 hours from the Childrens Cancer Clinic in Sydney, it means most of their days are spent doing long hours in the car, hospital stays and sleepless nights supporting Jett when he feels horrible after treatment.
They have never asked for a thing, they just take it in their stride and carry on with whatever they need to do for their little family. Together with Jetts younger sister Luka, they have always been a strong, loving family but this experience has just solidified the commitment they have to each other.
Jett is due to start the radiation component of his treatment soon, which means a long stint in Sydney. We would love to be able to raise some money for them so Jetts parents (Dylan and Mel) can both travel up there full time and not have to worry so much about accommodation costs, wages, or their mortgage back home.
