Hello family, friends, coworkers, teachers and anyone who knows of Jamir's situation. We have had so many people asking what they can do to help out. Janella and I are like sisters with Jamir's mom Lisa. We thought that a go fund would be a great way for those that can to help with some of the financial burden for this family. Even if you aren't able to donate, it helps for you to share the link when you can! She definitely deserves the help!!! I am one of Lisa's best friends and I watch her strive to be the best mother she can be, from the day Jamir was born right up to his recent hospital stay requiring multiple surgeries and intubations, she has not left his side.

The stress and fear that her and David have been going through is one that no parent should ever have to experience. Janella used to be one of Jamir's co-teachers and became very close with Lisa and her two boys. Jamir has been in the hospital almost a month now. a Last week he had yet another surgery after waking up in tremendous pain. Jamir has already had 5 brain surgeries, due to the shunt that is in his head and post op complications related to infection and sepsis. He will eventually need at least one more surgery to replace the shunt since it had to be removed due to infection. He will need many weeks of IV antibiotics and currently is unable to eat therefore requires IV nutrition.
Those of you know Jamir know that he is full of life, funny, brave, smart, and determined to do his best. His big brother Tyshene has always been an inspiration, motivating Jamir to do his best and not give up from day one. Because of the strength that his brother and family have instilled in him, Jamir has always been a fighter and will always try he asks anyone for help!!! Jamir will fight until he reaches his goals!

At 14, his favorite things to do are track and dancing. His mother calls him "Flash", a nickname that has caught on with many of his classmates, because his like a lightning bolt and he stops at nothing!!!

Jamir is a strong young man and he is loved by soooo many family members, peers, teachers and people in general. He performed a motivational speech to students last year and many would come up to him and say, you inspire me Jamir!!! Since this family recently moved to a new district, Jamir was looking forward to starting his sophomore year at Seneca and was so happy!!! We need everyone to keep him in prayer!!! His mother and father, aren't working right now because they are both with Jamir 24/7. They are losing out of paid work and we really want to try to help them as much as we can, they have a long road ahead of them.

Although Tyshene is away at college, thankfully he has been able to visit and spread his powerful and uplifting message of strength to his brother. With Jamir having the added struggle of cerebral palsy, this month long hospital stay of bedrest and immobilization is not going to make for a quick recovery. Please share their story with family, friends, coworkers or anyone who wants to help. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for contributing if you can.
