Team James -Anthony Mobley and Kristy Ray’s son

This year has been riddled with many challenges that were unexpected. For Pastor Kristy Ray and Anthony Mobley’s family, it came beyond the global pandemic and national unrest. Their 12- year-old son James Mobley went into the hospital an hour away with dangerously low kidney function. Through the help of medical advances and experience he was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis explaining the aggressive attack on his kidneys. Medical staff began aggressive treatment to fight against the Lupus attack. This includes some long-term medical treatment that will have him travel back and forth to Orlando to receive dialysis and immunosuppressants.

It has been quite the journey over the last two years. As James’ brother, Micah, came into the world last March, mom was in the hospital with a different autoimmune diagnosis.

Life seems to be ever changing and unpredictable, but as each day comes, we learn and grow. We don’t know how long treatments will be for James but are confident in God seeing the whole family through this journey. We have come a long way and we have a long way to go.
