Team Ireland Trial des Nations fund raiser

Hi Folks

Team Ireland have been given the task of raising funds for the team effort to ride at the Trial des Nations which will be held on 20 & 21st September in Tolmezzo Italy, we are kindly asking for your support and assistance please.

The team take’s great pride in representing our country at the Olympic’s of trials events the Trial des Nations each year and this year the team will consist of Multi Ulster and Irish Champions Stuart McClurg & Sean Doyle along with the very talented young team member Scott Callaghan.

How do we select the team?

Each team from around the world are selected from the best riders who participated in the national championships!

Team Ireland will be the top 3 riders in the Irish Championship 2024/25 in accordance with the team selection criteria which was set at the start of the season.

How does the team get there?

The bikes are transported by van, this will include the 3 riders bikes, 2 minders bikes, 1 FMN delegates bike and the team Managers bike to make 7 bikes in total!

The van also transports all riding gear, spares, tools and pop up gazebo’s along with all team clothing.

What does it take to participate in the Trial des Nations?

The expenses to take part in the Trial des Nations each year consist of the following overheads -

Boat fare for the bikes to be transported

Fuel for the Van

Flights

Hotels

Hire vehicles

Entry fees

Insurance’s

Riders and officials are not paid to participate so any loss of earnings are totally out of their pockets.

Food is also not included in the expenses so all members pay their own way regarding food costs.

How much does it cost?

This year the estimated budget will total around £8000

How much do we need to raise?

We are setting a target of £2000 to be raised by the team and this will be achieved in many ways including our go fund me page, training/school days and the support of Moto Trial NI who will run a trial on with all proceeds going towards the team.

Who sponsors the team?

Whilst we are heavily and gratefully supported by the MCI & MRA federations we are totally open to any offer of support for the team and would welcome and encourage any sponsor’s to contact team manager Andy Perry or any of the team members for further information on what the team can offer for your support.
