FTC Team #11574 Incognito, a team consisting of 8 over-achieving students from 4 different schools recently won the 2nd place Inspire award and 1st place Think award at the Nevada State Championship in Las Vegas. Our team has worked thousands of hours to accomplish this amazing feat and bring youth STEM education to Nevada, which is currently ranked 48th in K-12 education nationally.
Our team has 501(c)(3) non-profit status and all donations are tax-refundable
One of our main initiatives is providing engaging STEM education to those not fortunate enough to already have access to it. As of February 20th, our team had initiated over 180 outreaches to our community, including but not limited to:
- Donations to local charities
- Starting, coaching, and/or mentoring 14 robotics competition teams
- Providing free instruction in STEM
- Sending STEM kits to communities across the world
- Promoting robotics and FIRST
- Meeting with engineers to further expand our team’s knowledge
- Hosting workshops for other robotics teams
Our team is looking for funding in order to compete in the FIRST World Robotics Tournament held in Houston, Texas this April. By gaining funding and being able to compete, we hope to further spread our initiatives, values, and knowledge to children everywhere. We also hope to gain recognition that will help us bring better education to our home state of Nevada.
Our innovative STEM kits have been optimized so that we can pack in as much information and learning at a low cost. Any and all donations count. Sponsors will also be included in our presentation/pit at the FIRST World Robotics Tournament, as well as on our social media platforms. We are truly grateful for the invitation to attend this prestigious event, and thankful to those that choose to sponsor our team’s mission.
