My name is Monika, and together with my friends, family and local community, we’re doing everything we can to raise funds for a very special family who are very close to us and going through an incredibly difficult time.

Overnight, our world has been turned upside down when their little boy Harri, who is just 5 years old, was diagnosed with cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Cardiff Hospital in preparation for major surgery in Birmingham the near future.

Both parents work full-time jobs, but since the diagnosis, they’ve spent every single day by Harri’s side in the hospital. Harri’s dad travels a total of 174 miles every day to be with him, while Harri's mum stays at the hospital all the time.

We want to help ease some of their stress and make sure they don’t have to worry about finances—especially with Christmas approaching and their two little girls waiting for them at home.

Harri’s mum works at Maes Y Felin Residential Home (SA40 9YB), where the wonderful staff have also stepped up to help. They’ve started selling raffle tickets for £5 each to raise additional funds for the family.
