Team Gerson: Medical and Support Help

Gerson Colón has worked in education for the past 27 years throughout the state of Massachusetts. He has served the towns of Springfield, Lawrence, Amherst, Fitchburg and Framingham in a variety of roles: paraprofessional, assistant principal and teacher. Most recently, his work in Lowell, MA teaching Spanish and ESL classes has given him much fulfillment. Gerson has been working up to and throughout his diagnosis of peritoneal cancer in February 2022.

Gerson intended on returning to teaching in January but despite a tremendous fight, Gerson entered hospice on January 11th. Funds will help cover medical expenses not covered by insurance, hospice living costs and miscellaneous costs relating to his quality of life and support of the children.
