TEAM GB NEED YOU!

We have a great tradition of competing in the Supermoto of Nations going back to the very first event in Northern Ireland in 2006 finishing 3rd, the same position the year after in Italy and famously second in Portugal in 2011. However, we know that there is a lot of luck that can decide the outcome, but one thing is for sure the Team that will represent us this year in the Czech Republic on the 27th and 28th of September will try their upmost and leave nothing wanting regardless of the finishing positions.

We have two very strong teams, the Senior led by multiple champion Chris Hodgson backed up by the debutant Richard Sharp and ex British Champ, Scotland’s finest Jamie Duncan. The Junior team is equally good, with the ultra-rapid Alex Mullaney, Harley Sharp making it a SoN first to have Father and Son competing together and we are proud and excited to have BSB star Storm Stacey join us.

To compete in this event costs a lot of money, the logistics alone are daunting, to get eight bikes, tools, spares riders mechanics to a circuit over 1000 miles away is a massive expense and then the riders must buy Metzeler tyres at the circuit, as we are restricted to the control tyre. We are very lucky to have help from the usual suspects, Tripz.uk, H Mullaney & Son, Automotive Solutions, TM Leeds, Holeshot Signs, Larsson UK are all helping with transport, bikes, cash etc but we really need more support so we are asking for a little money from a lot of people, all of which will go towards getting the riders there (and back) buying tyres, fuel and transport. All supporters, team members and officials are all paying their own way so every penny will help the team.

So if you have ever watched amazing Supermoto racing and marvelled at the skill, had free entry to Rowrah, Crail and Teesside to watch, had a drink in the sun, been lent something by another competitor, laughed at the antics of you know who, barrelled your Superlite down a public road, pulled a wheelie on the track, thought wow this is good value for money, leapt 30 foot on a monster jump on slicks for the first time, ridden in darkness at Cadwell Park and all the other amazing great things about our sport then please donate to our justgiving page.

We don’t expect much but if you can spare the price of a pint to help us then please do. Anyone donating £20 or more will be able to buy a strictly limited-edition team Polo shirt or Hoodie complete with your own name as an official supporter, more info will follow on sizes and costs.
