Team Gambia 2025 - Abuko Nursery and Lower Basic School

Hi, my name is Chris, I am a 16-year old college student. I hope to raise £400 for Abuko Nursery and Lower Basic School in The Gambia.

In November, I will be travelling with sixth form to The Gambia. Whilst I am there, I will help teach some lessons and we will take supplies that are needed to help the school.

Between 2013 and 2024, Team Gambia has raised over £92,000 and has supported Abuko Nursery and Lower Basic School by providing teaching materials, chairs, desks, and printers. The money raised by the project has also built a library, five classrooms, and drilled a well. In 2021, the nursery school was handed over to the Gambian Education Department which ensured the sustainability of the project, however, there is still lots we can do to help.

To raise money to continue helping provide vital support for the school, I will be walking a marathon, along with helping host quiz nights and bake sales.
