Our mom (Gail) was diagnosed with Autoimmune Limbic Encephalitis. (Also diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer in 2017) The antibodies her body has been making to fight the cancer are now attacking her brain. The test to find out what antibodies are doing this came back negative. So the mayo clinic did more research, and it turns out the antibody that is doing this is one that they have never seen before. As far as treatment goes there really isn't anything. They did try IVIG. The DR. Stated "Its like taking a shot in the dark. But worth a try." Well unfortunately, the treatment is not working. The next step is hospice care for her. We created this to help with all the medical bills, and for her to get the best care possible. As, of right now she calls out for grandma/grandpa/Audrey to help her. She can't walk, needs help with bathroom, Sometimes she knows who you are, sometimes not, sleeps alot, and favors her left side, ect.  We as a family don't like asking for help. So if you can great, if not we just ask that you keep her in your prayers, and that she is free of pain and goes peacefully. Thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time.
