Team FAST Marathon for Veterans
Every day, 22 veterans take their own lives. The mission of the Team FAST Foundation is to coordinate and assist in the development and improvement of veterans' transition from military service to civilian life, and to redefine the standards by which veterans make this transition.
This October, members of Team FAST will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 which will be used to fund programs and services that focus on decompressing, educating and encouraging our veterans here in western New York.
These services provide veterans an opportunity to interact with other local service members, regain a sense of comradery and acquire skills for managing PTSD, anxiety, depression, isolation, and other ongoing obstacles they may face.
With your donations, Team FAST will be able to provide decompression services to veterans such as: massage therapy, yoga training, acupuncture, reiki, and more. We will also aim to provide local educational and counseling resources, and establish the first ever Veteran's Flag Football League.
If you are able, we are asking for a donation of $22 to honor the lives of those who have served, and support Team FAST in our mission to fight veteran suicide.
