Help Evan Armit Win His Toughest Battle
Evan Armit is a 21-year-old student-athlete, teammate, and friend who is now facing the biggest fight of his life: cancer.
Less than a year ago, Evan was a strong, healthy 20-year-old, known for his grit on the hockey rink and his kind heart off of it. In addition to his on ice achievements Evan was on the Dean’s List, was a residence advisor, and was just working on business internship prospects when he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Today, he’s fighting for his life.
Evan and his family have faced a devastating journey — enduring countless treatments, hospital stays, and unimaginable challenges.
And there is still hope.
Since June 2024, Evan has bravely undergone extensive treatment in Boston, Toronto, and Thunder Bay—far from his hometown of Dryden, Ontario. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Evan remains determined, resilient, and hopeful.
A cutting-edge treatment is needed for Evan to win his fight. Unfortunately, accessing this treatment comes with significant costs for travel and many other necessities, making it an overwhelming burden for the family.
A proud member of the Worcester State University Lancers and a standout Business student, Evan previously played junior hockey with the Winnipeg Freeze and the Islanders Hockey Club. Known for his grit on the ice and commitment in the classroom, he now needs our help off the ice.
This is where we come in. Let’s rally around the Armit family the same way Evan has always shown up for his teammates, classmates, and friends. Your generosity will directly help fund his treatment and ensure his family can stay close during this difficult time.
This is Evan’s Toughest Shift—Let’s Help Him Win It.
