Team Delainey

My daughters best friend (Tara) and our niece (Heather/Monica) Delainey, was diagnosed with a brain tumor on March 8th. Delainey is 10 years old and she is so incredibly strong, loving, caring and the absolute best friend a girl could have in her life. She has a little sister, Madison, as well as a brother. Her mom (Danyal) and dad (Tyler), live outside of Nashville, Tennessee and are staying with her currently at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

2023 has been a crazy whirlwind for Delainey and her family. It started to become noticeable that something was wrong in January and her parents started seeking help. What started as what they thought was an eating disorder is not what was wrong at all. Delainey was admitted to the hospital late Monday night March 6th. Doctors came in and out on Tuesday, March 7th and started to suspect something different.

Very early on Wednesday, March 8th, they were given the news that no parent wants to hear, they were told that Delainey had a pretty significant-sized brain tumor. She was immediately transferred to ICU and a team of Neurologists started working on a treatment plan. Shortly after she was transferred she went into an almost 9-hour surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible and relieve the pressure and fluid on her brain. During the coming days and weeks, they will know more about the tumor but for now, the focus is on each day.

We are raising money to assist with food/travel expenses, lost time at work and medical bills. We love all of them so much. They are an amazing family and Delainey is showing us all just how strong and what a fighter she is. Please help us give them peace of mind so that they can focus their time and energy on taking care of Delainey.
