Team Dad against Cancer

Hello everyone this is our Dad Jesse Cepeda. He is 50 years old. He has 4 children and a loving wife since high school of 28 years. He also has 13 grand children. Growing up my Dad was always so hard working. There wasn't a time where he wasn't working. But that didn't stop him from showing his kids and grandchildren all his love and support. He has the most genuine heart. He always cracks jokes. Our smiles and laughter around him are endless. Well this is his medical story. Our Dad a few months ago was complaining about his foot hurting so bad. Numerous times he went into the hospital because the pain was so excruciating that it went all the way to his chest. He always felt like he was having a heart attack. The hospital's never did anything but mask the pain. They would diagnose him with gout, to arthritis and then to chronic gout. They never had the right diagnosis. They would send him home but the pain never stopped. On Sept 2nd 2019. He was rushed to the hospital in the ambulance because the pain was so bad once again that it went to his chest. So he felt like he was having another heart attack. At this point they did an EKG and they also did a CT scan. This is when the bad news started. The Doctor found three massive tumors in my Dad. One in his right lung, another on the left side of his shoulder and one near his kidney. I remember when my Mom broke the news to us. I felt numb all day my siblings and I couldn't stop crying. We still hurt inside knowing what can happen, but we are all trying to stay positive for him. We see how much pain he's in but we know he acts like everything is ok because he doesn't want to worry us. Last night on October 9th 2019 was the first time I've seen my Dad cry because of all the pain he is going through. For a daughter who looks at her Dad to be the strongest in the family that really broke me. Writing this letter makes me break down even more because I'm in disbelief. My Dad is currently still working but unfortunately his work doesn't offer insurance. It's so hard for him to work but he still gets up every day and supports his family. That just says a lot about my Dad's character. My Dad barely ask for any help and It really took him a lot to want to start a go fund me page. He also tried to apply for Medicaid but he got denied due to making only a few hundred dollars over. We kindly ask everyone for your kind donations and most especially for your prayers.
