Ana Lucía (Chia) tiene 4 años y lleva un año luchando contra la leucemia. Es una niña hermosa y con un carisma muy especial.
Es la menor de toda la familia, tanto paterna, como materna, y junto con sus papás Marco y Gaby, y su hermana Ana Paula de 7 años, forman una linda y unida familia.
En octubre del 2017 fue diagnosticada con Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda y comenzó a recibir su tratamiento de quimioterapia en León, Gto. México, pero lamentablemente éste no funcionó y a los 6 meses tiene una recaída. Su siguiente opción es trasplante de médula ósea, pero en esa ciudad no realizan ese procedimiento; así que se trasladan a Ciudad de México, en donde les explican que para trasplante tendría que tener cero % de células cancerosas, por lo cual tendría que recibir más quimioterapia en combinación con otros medicamentos. Al finalizar este proceso sus niveles no solo no bajaron, sino que subieron hasta 96% por lo cual ya no es posible el trasplante. Su última opción, es un tratamiento en Estados Unidos, en donde realizan una terapia que modifica genéticamente las células.
Pero ésta opción está valuada en $450,000 dólares, y aunque la familia de Chia cuenta con seguro de gastos médicos, no tienen cobertura internacional.
Es por eso que estamos buscando su ayuda, para que Chia pueda seguir luchando y pueda tener una infancia feliz y libre de cáncer!

In October of 2017, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and began receiving her chemotherapy treatment in León, Gto. Mexico, but unfortunately this treatment did not work and at 6 months had a relapse. Her next option was a bone marrow transplant, but in the city where she lives, the procedure is not available. So they moved to Mexico City. There they learned that for transplantation, she would have to have zero % of cancer cells so she would have to receive more chemotherapy in combination with other medications. At the end of this process, her levels did not fall, but rose to 96%, which is why transplantation is no longer possible. Her last option is a treatment in the United States, at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where they perform a therapy that will genetically modify her cells.
But this treatment option is valued at $450,000, and although Chia's family has medical insurance, they do not have international coverage. That is why we are looking for your help so that Chia can continue fighting and can have a happy childhood free of cancer!
