On what should have been a day of celebration—his 17th birthday—our beloved Chance Marshall was in a devastating car accident in Dominica. The crash left him with a severe spinal injury (T12 vertebrae), and he is now unable to walk.

Chance is not just any teenager. He is a former football (soccer) MVP and cricket star in Dominica, admired across the islands for his skill, discipline, and leadership on the field. Off the field, he had just embarked on a new chapter—his freshman year at Dominica State College. Chance was even exploring many talents beyond sports. He’s won awards in culinary arts competitions and even started his own small business journey as a young entrepreneur, selling essentials and inspiring his peers.

His bright future in life was suddenly interrupted, but we believe this is not the end of his story.

Through the support of family, community, and even the Prime Minister of Dominica, Chance was airlifted to Trinidad for urgent medical care. He is now stabilized, but his journey has only just begun. Chance will need specialized spinal rehabilitation to give him the best chance to walk again, regain his independence, and live the full life that God has planned for him.

This level of care is not available in Dominica. Our family is working to transfer Chance to a leading spinal cord injury rehabilitation center where he can access intensive therapies, advanced treatments, and the support of expert teams who specialize in helping young people like him recover.

We are asking for your help to make this possible. The costs of international medical care, rehabilitation, travel, and long-term recovery are overwhelming for our family alone.
