Nurses enter the profession to improve the lives of those they touch. We who are nurses and other healthcare professionals find fulfillment by performing caring acts that go far beyond the expectation of our roles. Two of our Hackensack Meridian nurses need all of our compassion, prayers and donation. June Mandlap RN, from Raritan Bay Medical Center Nursing Informatics, flew to the Philippine this past Friday, September 20, to be by her mother’s bedside. Like mother, like daughter both found their calling in Nursing.
Crystal Cesar Capuy RN was visiting the Philippines to attend the wake of a love one. When she unfortunately, experience a subarachnoid hemorrhage in her brain. Crystal recently retired from working for over 25 years as an ICU at JFK hospital. Surgeons went in and successfully threaded coils into the aneurysm. Crystal’s recovery will be very long. She remains intubated and will need much medication, further diagnostic imaging testing and extensive nursing care. A majority of hospitals in the Philippine are privately run and before treatment is provided a cash payment for services must be received.
June’s friends cannot be there physically for her in this time of need where a simple hug would make her feel she is not alone in this journey. We would like to ask our Hackensack Meridian family at Raritan Bay and JFK if you would all pray for June and her mother Crystal. We would also like to ask if could find it in your heart to make a financial donation to this Go Fund me page, for the medical bills the family is incurring due to this tragedy.
We want to thank you for taking this time to read and pray for June and Crystal. There is power in prayer. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ.
Philippians 4:6-7.
